In 1981, in accordance with the new Higher Education Law (No. 2547), the administration of higher education in Türkiye was comprehensively restructured.

New Statistics in Higher Education

According to data for the 2022-2023 academic year, there are 6,950,142 students and 184,566 academic staff in 208 higher education institutions April 30, 2023 new statistics were determined for higher education.
